2. What is the Freedom and Slavery that Paul is talking about?
Consider the Context of his writing this letter ie what is going on for him and the Galatians during this time?
3. How would you define Freedom? What does it mean to live freely?
Discuss the following quote concerning freedom:
"New Testament freedom is the ability to live in accordance with our destiny. It entails the release from the predisposition toward evil in order to be able to choose the good."
4. What is the Great Australian Dream?
5. How does it define what it means to be Australian?
6. Is it a form of Freedom or Slavery?
7. It can be said that people cannot genuinely love their neighbours as ourselves when our mindsets are locked into ideals that have us as number one. Would you agree? What experiences have you had that help you understand this position?
8. Larry Crabb in a book title "Connecting" speaks of the relational disconnection that happens in Western society as it pursues individualistic lifestyles. He describes Relational disconnection as "a condition of existence where the deepest part of who we are is vibrantly attached to no one, where we are profoundly unknown and therefore experience neither the thrill of being believed in nor the joy of loving or being loved."
